The annual Best Places to Work program “recognizes companies in Middle Tennessee that strive to maintain a work-life balance, have fun and have a great team mentality. Nominations are accepted from the public, and employees of nominated companies are asked to complete an anonymous online survey conducted by Quantum Workplace.” There are four categories of businesses based on the number of employees: small, medium, large, and extra-large.
To be eligible, companies must:
· Have a minimum of 10 local employees.
· Have participating branch offices in the 10-county Nashville area (Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties).
· Have a minimum participation level based on the size of the company.
Per Nashville Business Journal, “the employee survey measures 6 key engagement categories, including trust in leaders, communication and resources, individual needs, personal engagement, team dynamics and manager effectiveness.”
