NFC Business Card Coins: Custom Promotional Giveaway Design Services Announced

Gray Water Ops is now offering embedded NFC chips as part of their custom challenge coin design service.

Harrisburg, United States - April 20, 2023

This expansion opens the door to a variety of new design options for the company. Thanks to new, recently-acquired engraving equipment, Gray Water can create highly intricate details on both faces of their challenge coins, and can engrave information on the edges as well.

Gray Water Ops can now create challenge coin designs that feature multiple layers of material inlaid into the face of each coin. They can also create coins in custom shapes for bulk orders thanks to their new laser equipment, which produces a precise and highly refined result every time.

Gray Water Ops challenge coins are intended as a way to show gratitude or membership to customers, employees, or members of an organization. The tradition of challenge coins dates back thousands of years to the Roman empire, but in the modern age, they can be used to represent customer loyalty or exclusive membership.

The coins have also been designed to function as a business card alternative, with patented NFC chip integrations installed in every coin. These microchips are housed inside the coin’s brass casing, and can be programmed to serve a wide variety of functions, such as the instant transmission of contact information.

These NFC integrations also make the coins ideal for businesses, as they can be granted to customers joining a loyalty program and then used to digitally track individual customer accounts. This technology is currently in the late stages of development, and will be available soon to all Gray Water Ops customers later this month, April, 2023.

Working with the company’s in-house graphic design team, customers can create custom artwork that will then be translated onto the coin face. These designs can be rendered using various metal inlay techniques along with hard and soft enamel to achieve any desired effect.

Pre-orders are open now for the first round of coins minted with the embedded NFC technology. A catalog of non-NFC designs that their team has created in the past is available on their website, along with pricing information for bulk orders over 200 pieces.

Gray Water Ops is 100% owned and operated by veterans, and the company models its standard of service and quality after the military precision that their team is familiar with. The company also regularly donates a portion of certain sales to organizations such as the Red Cross.
