Clean energy software and data analytics firm Arcadia said it surpassed 1 GW of community solar capacity under management, an industry first and milestone for the startup founded in 2014.

Arcadia's community solar capacity includes projects in 15 states and is equivalent to 150,000 households powering their homes with clean energy. The company now claims to be the largest manager of community solar capacity in the U.S.

"We will continue to drive new innovations to ensure that customers, communities, and solar farm owners alike get the most value possible from community solar," said Joel Gamoran, Arcadia's vice president and general manager of energy services.

Arcadia promises transparency and simplicity for customers to access the benefits of community solar while "delivering guaranteed savings with no risk."

In May, Arcadia raised $200 million to support the expansion of their data and API platform, Arc, which allows companies to monitor, report, and act on the carbon impact.
