Minneapolis residents' lawsuit demanding reversal of defund police policy expedited by Supreme Court

The Minnesota Supreme Court agreed to a June hearing in the lawsuit brought by a group of eight Minneapolis North Side residents alleging they have been subjected to rampant crime as part of fallout from George Floyd’s death and the defund police movement, as officer staffing levels continually fall far below what is required under the city’s charter based on population level.
