This music and dance academy is a proud member school of the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts group, serving families in Louisiana since 1978. The faculty consists of more than 60 University-Trained educators who bring their years of experience, fun, and positive motivation to each lesson. The student body varies greatly and consists of kids, teens, and adults who are brand new beginning students playing their first notes or lacing up their ballet slippers for the first time to advanced students preparing to major in music or dance in college and wish to record their demo reels in the academy’s audio and video production studio.
Mandeville School of Music & Dance currently offers online and on-campus classes with age-appropriate program offerings, music lessons for toddler/preschool classes, Mandeville piano lessons, guitar, voice/singing lessons, violin, viola & cello lessons, drum, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet, trombone, tuba lessons. Students interested in piano, voice, guitar, and violin may choose either private or semi-private instruction when getting started.
Other services offered are ensemble programs for students from 9 years old to adults, featuring choir, jazz bands, string ensemble, rock/pop band, adult folk band, etc. Students may participate in concerts and performances for Christmas and Spring Recitals in addition to on-campus showcases held throughout the year.
