European stocks and U.S. equity futures rise on stimulus hopes and COVID-19 vaccine optimism

Stocks in Europe are trading higher as investors stick to COVID-19 vaccine optimism. U.S. equity futures are also climbing, in part boosted by hopes for a near-term stimulus package.
