One missed paycheck 'is too many.' TSA officers prepare for extended shutdown

TSA officers are preparing for their first missed paycheck since the shutdown began on Dec. 22. The some 51,000 officers are among the roughly 420,000 essential federal employees who are required to work through the shutdown. Air traffic controllers and customs officials are also working without pay. The aviation industry is pleading with the Trump administration and lawmakers to end the shutdown.
