Teledyne DALSA Continues to Climb in Global MEMS Foundry Ranking

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that its subsidiary, Teledyne DALSA, Inc., was ranked the number two global independent pure-play semiconductor foundry for Micro Electro Mechanical Systems or MEMS. Yole Développement, a market research firm specializing in MEMS, cited Teledyne DALSA in its annual research report, the Status of the MEMS Industry 2018. Teledyne’s ranking climbed to number two from number three in 2017 and number four in 2012.

MEMS devices, which contain miniaturized mechanical and electro-mechanical elements, are manufactured using unique microfabrication techniques and process expertise. Teledyne DALSA’s MEMS foundry in Bromont, Quebec, supplies major companies with high-volume MEMS manufacturing for a wide range of applications including micro-fluidic devices for life sciences, micro-mirrors for telecommunication, specialty inertial sensors and consumables used in semiconductor fabrication.
