STATE STREET GLOBAL ADVISORS ANNOUNCES ETF SHARE SPLIT

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT), today announced the share split of the SPDR® Barclays International Treasury Bond ETF (BWX). Splits increase the number of shares outstanding and decrease the funds’ share price. The aggregate market value of shares outstanding is not impacted.

The stock split will apply to shareholders of record as of the close of the markets on September 26, 2016, payable after the close of the markets on September 28, 2016.

Shares will trade at their post-split price September 29, 2016, as noted in the table below. The ticker symbol and CUSIP number for the fund will not change.

“We are always evaluating our product line-up and exploring ways to strengthen our SPDR ETF offerings to provide the best solutions for our clients,” said Nick Good, co-head of the Global SPDR business at State Street Global Advisors. “This share split should broaden the appeal of this fund to a larger set of investors due to the lower per share price.”

Important Risk Information

ETFs trade like stocks, are subject to investment risk, fluctuate in market value and may trade at prices above or below the ETFs net asset value. Brokerage commissions and ETF expenses will reduce returns.

Passively managed funds hold a range of securities that, in the aggregate, approximates the full Index in terms of key risk factors and other characteristics. This may cause the fund to experience tracking errors relative to performance of the index.

While the shares of ETFs are tradable on secondary markets, they may not readily trade in all market conditions and may trade at significant discounts in periods of market stress.

Non-diversified funds that focus on a relatively small number of securities tend to be more volatile than diversified funds and the market as a whole.

Bonds generally present less short-term risk and volatility than stocks, but contain interest rate risk (as interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall); issuer default risk; issuer credit risk; liquidity risk; and inflation risk. These effects are usually pronounced for longer-term securities. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to a substantial gain or loss.

Foreign (non-U.S.) Securities may be subject to greater political, economic, environmental, credit and information risks. Foreign securities may be subject to higher volatility than U.S. securities, due to varying degrees of regulation and limited liquidity. These risks are magnified in emerging markets.
