Urgent Care Hawaii Acquires Medical Corner Centers in Kailua, Kapolei and Honolulu

By: PRLog
In addition to Pearl City location, new urgent care centers build strong presence in market.
HONOLULU - April 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Urgent Care Hawaii (formerly US Med Urgent Care) today announced it has acquired three Medical Corner urgent care centers. The new locations are 660 Kailua Road in Kailua, 890 Kamokila Blvd. in Kapolei, and 1860 Ala Moana Blvd. in Honolulu.

Donna Schmidt is the founder and CEO of Urgent Care Hawaii. When the first center opened in Pearl City in 2011, it filled a dire need for urgent medical services in the community. Schmidt remarks, "The newly acquired urgent care centers complement our presence in the market. Additionally, the acquisitions build on Urgent Care Hawaii's strategy to improve patient access and provide a friendly, family environment to promote the healing of the body and mind while developing a lasting relationship with our patients. We are always on the cutting edge and striving to improve the patient experience. The difference is the way we care."

The new centers will maintain the same hours as Pearl City: 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 6 pm on the weekends. The centers will be staffed by dedicated professionals. Schmidt explains, "Our staff shares similar core values that drive us to bring the best of who we are to work every day. These values include: respect and consideration for others, honesty and integrity. In the true Aloha Spirit, it means compassion and kindness for all."

Urgent Care Hawaii, LLC has not acquired the Medical Corner at the Airport Trade Center, 550 Paiea Street, Honolulu. The Medical Corner was established over 20 years ago by Robert Sussman, M.D., who will continue to provide primary care and occupational health services at the Airport Trade Center which will remain under his ownership.

Regarding the new Urgent Care Hawaii Centers, Schmidt adds, "We will provide the fast, friendly service that Urgent Care Hawaii is known for, and we look forward to serving the Kailua, Kapolei and Waikiki communities!"

The new centers will be closed from April 25th for refurbishing and will reopen May 16th, 2016.  To find out about the services and locations of the new centers, please visit www.ucarehi.com.
