Tracy Mazda Helps Nonprofits With Mazda Drive For Good

Each year, Mazda partners with NBC Universal to fund nonprofits across the country.
TRACY, Calif. - Oct. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Mazda has once again been partnered with NBC Universal for the Mazda Drive For Good Program, in which viewers are urged to "tell us your vision for taking your project or cause to the next level and how you think we can help you make it a reality." The cause is designed to raise money for worthy causes, helping dealerships like Tracy Mazda give back to the communities that have helped it thrive.

Participants are asked to choose a local project or cause that is making a difference to the community, then upload a video or photo with a personal story to let the public know about the good work that is being accomplished. Viewers can then nominate causes through an online contest.

In addition to a huge donation to his or her worthy cause, the winner takes part in a video for NBC and meets with Academy Award nominee and philanthropist, Minnie Driver. Last year’s grand winner was middle-schooler Braedon Mannering. His organization, 3B (or Braeden's Brown Bags), donates clothing, food, and books to the homeless.

In addition to the Drive For Good program, Mazda has announced that it will donate a generous $150 for each new Mazda sold or leased between November 23, 2015 and January 4, 2016 as part of an ongoing program that has reportedly already generated $7.9 million for charity. Mazda has also committed to pledging one hour of charitable service in 2016 for every test drive taken as part of the Drive For Good program.

Last year, the Sacramento Area Mazda Dealers — of which Tracy Mazda is a part — donated $20,000 to UCP of Sacramento and Northern California, a nonprofit that works with adults and children suffering from developmental disorders. Tracy Mazda has long been involved in events that give back to the community, and this is just the latest example.

Residents of Stockton and Modesto are encouraged to take part in the Mazda Drive For Good Program before the end of the month. Drivers who feel strongly about worthy causes can help rally support by entering the online contest or visiting Tracy Mazda for more information.
