Anthracite Capital to Report Second Quarter 2007 Earnings on August 8

Anthracite Capital, Inc. (NYSE:AHR) (Anthracite or the Company) today announced that it will report results for the second quarter of 2007 prior to the opening of the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Christopher A. Milner, Chief Executive Officer, Richard M. Shea, President and Chief Operating Officer, and James J. Lillis, Chief Financial Officer, will host a teleconference call for investors and analysts at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time). Anthracites second quarter earnings release will be available on the Companys website, www.anthracitecapital.com, prior to the beginning of the teleconference call.
