Small business owner Kevin Hensley holds campaign event and fundraiser on September 18 in his bid for the open seat in the 9th State House district.

After running uncontested in the Republican primary, Hensley formally launches his campaign effort for the November 4 general election. He will hold his first fundraising event on Thursday, September 18 in Townsend.
Hensley has strong ties to his community and Delaware. He has lived in the MOT area for 17 years and is a small business owner and Associate Broker with RE/MAX Associates. The focus of his campaign is primarily on economic issues and education. “I am above all a business owner,” Hensley states, “and as such, I understand firsthand the impact the economy’s downturn has had on families, workers, and communities around our state.” He is prepared to face our economic challenges head on: ”I believe in lessening regulation to spur growth, development and jobs creation.”
As a founding board member for MOT Charter, a board member of the Appoquinimink School district and a participant in Junior Achievement, Hensley has always been at the forefront when it comes to education issues. “Through my leadership and determination in the Delaware House of Representatives, I will tackle the challenges our schools and children face in achieving quality education,” Hensley sates.
Finally, when it comes to government, Kevin promises to make it more open and transparent. He pledges to hold town hall meetings with his constituents. “A transparent government is also one that is more responsive to the needs of its citizens,” Hensley concludes.
