Susan and Stan Hordych of Suzi's Sweet Shoppe, were selected by Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his family to prepare special milk chocolate candy bars branded with the Boca Tanning Club logo for the recent grand opening of their new location in Middletown on March 1st.
The award-winning chocolatiers also had a chance to mingle with other members of the Sorrentino family - brothers Marc and Frank, sister Melissa and mother Linda, in addition to the president of Boca Tanning Club, Jen Boronico, who was thrilled with the candy bars, and Lori Anne Oliwa, publicist to the Sorrentino family. “We were so excited to be contacted by the family to help them with their grand opening last week. It’s always great to help new local businesses with corporate branded chocolate items, but to have this brush with a famous family who are local business owners was a dream come true”, states Susan Hordych.
The custom corporate branded candy bars, which were in keeping with the jungle theme to feature Boca Tanning Club’s logo and animal print details, made by Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe were handed out at the grand opening event last Saturday. Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe provided a jungle themed gift basket as well. The basket of goodies included custom decorated chocolate lollipops, animal crackers dipped in chocolate and in the center of the basket was a large green apple covered in caramel and chocolate, then rolled in sweet and toasted coconut and drizzled with white chocolate.
