PRLog - Sep. 25, 2013 - SAN FRANCISCO -- Today, Give2Asia, a US-based social enterprise that serves as a catalyst for philanthropic investment in Asia, announces five new fiscal sponsor partnerships to support the ability of local charitable groups across Asia to fundraise in the United States.

Give2Asia enters into fiscal sponsor partnerships with Asia-based charitable groups after conducting a rigorous due diligence review of the organization, its programs, and its management team.

Give2Asia’s five new partners are:

Cambodian Center for Human Rights

The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR) is an independent, non-politically aligned, non-governmental organization that was established in 2002 in order to promote and protect democracy and human rights in Cambodia. CCHR’s vision is of a non-violent Cambodia where people enjoy their fundamental human rights, are treated equally, are empowered to participate in democracy in a meaningful way, and can share the benefits of Cambodia’s development.

US-based supporters can now make tax-deductible donations to CCHR by visiting give2asia.org/cchr.

Cambodian Center for the Protection for Children’s Rights

The Cambodian Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights (CCPCR) is a grassroots organization providing crucial rescue, outreach, shelter, physical and mental healthcare services, vocational training and education to more than 300 young Cambodian children — primarily girls between 4-16 years of age – who are victims of trafficking, sexual abuse and exploitation. CCPCR currently operates two shelters/rehabilitation centers in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and a transition station in Svei Rieng province near the Vietnamese border. They work with communities, police, and regional NGOs to take in new girls every week while supporting other girls as they move into employment training or university studies.

Kids with Cancer Foundation

Children’s cancer is generally a curable disease, but in Vietnam, children diagnosed with cancer have a 5-year survival rate of less than 10 percent, compared to the global average of 85 percent. Kids with Cancer Foundation’s (KwCF) mission is to increase the five-year survival rate of Vietnamese children with cancer to above 50 percent over the next five years. Through partnerships with the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at the University of Texas’ Health Science Center and the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC), KwCF is changing the way cancer is treated in Vietnam by funding overseas training programs for Vietnamese pediatric oncologists, pathologists and genetic researchers. KwCF also funds training missions by its University of Texas partners to Vietnam in order to conduct courses on the latest techniques and treatment protocols of children’s cancer.

US-based supporters can now make tax-deductible donations to KwCF by visiting give2asia.org/kwcf.

Primary Health Care and Resource Center

The Primary Health Care and Resource Center (PHCRC) in Chapaguan, Lalitpur, Nepal provides essential healthcare and integrated training activities. PHCRC has adopted all the principles of essential health care practices set out by the World Health Organization in 1978. The center was successfully handed over to the local government and has developed a plan to extend and expand nationally as a resource center and primary healthcare training center.

St. Paul University, Philippines

St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP), established in 1907 and located in Tuguegarao City, is the first Catholic university in Asia and the “mother university” of the St. Paul University System. The university is also known for its environmental and sustainability-focused programs, including on-campus materials recovery center, recycling center, organic gardens, and water conservation program.

SPUP’s latest project is the construction of the Levesville Training Center, which includes the region’s first convention center to serve its growing economy. The Center will also be the first its province to be a certified member of the Philippines’ Green Building Council.

US-based supporters and alumni of SPUP can now make tax-deductible donations at give2asia.org/spup.
