EPO Grants EU Medical Device Patent for babyLance Safety Heelstick

Expands MediPurpose’s Lancet Intellectual Property Portfolio
PRLog - Aug 22, 2013 - ATLANTA -- BERLIN -- SINGAPORE -- MediPurpose™, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, today announced an addition to its expanding portfolio of lancet patents.

The medical product company recently received approval of patent EP2303123 (“A Device for Performing an Incision”) for its babylance™ safety heelstick from the European Patent Office (EPO) in Berlin, Germany. The patent provides medical device intellectual property protection in the EPO’s 38 member states.

Along with medical device patents in Singapore and Japan for babyLance, MediPurpose also holds EPO medical device patents for its popular SurgiLance™ safety lancet.
