Clovis Oncology Welcomes Two New Directors to its Board

Clovis Oncology, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLVS), announced today the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors, Ginger Graham and Keith Flaherty, M.D.

Mahaffy, president and CEO of Clovis Oncology. “Ginger is a widely respected and well-known healthcare executive with significant CEO- and Board-level experience. Keith has highly-relevant experience as a clinician developing innovative oncology products, in particular targeted therapies with companion diagnostics. We are really pleased that they have chosen to join us.”

Ginger Graham is the President and CEO of Two Trees Consulting, where she coaches first-time CEOs of public and private companies. For the last four years, she has been a senior lecturer at Harvard University and a faculty member in its Entrepreneurship Unit. Ms. Graham is the former President and CEO of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company based in San Diego, CA focused on diabetes and obesity. Previously, Ms. Graham was Group Chairman, Office of the President for Guidant Corporation. Ms. Graham serves on the Boards of Directors for Walgreen Co., Genomic Health, Inc., Surefire Medical, Elcelyx Therapeutics Inc., Proteus Biomedical and Circle of Life Hospice Foundation. Ms. Graham has a Bachelor of Science, Agriculture with high honors from the University of Arkansas and a Master in Business Administration with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Keith Flaherty, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Associate Physician of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Director of the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapy, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. Dr. Flaherty is also the Deputy Chair for Biomarker Sciences and the Chair of the Developmental Therapeutics Committee in the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. Dr. Flaherty has served as Principal Investigator for numerous first-in-human clinical trials with novel, targeted therapies, including the first in-human trials of the first prospectively developed selective BRAF inhibitors for metastatic melanoma. Dr. Flaherty has a Bachelor of Science from Yale University and medical degree from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Flaherty trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and completed a medical oncology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
