Intel Corporation closed up 2.97% on 79 million shares traded. The company hit a 52 week high in October on $21.27 and a high today of $20.59 with a low of $20.15. Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL), $22.83, +0.19, 0.84%, hit a 52 week high mid September with 22.95 but today it managed to beat that when it hit a 23.00 high. The low for the day was 22.55. Oracle made slight gains today on 24 million shares traded. Oracle Corporation announced today that its second quarter fiscal year 2010 results will be released on Thursday, December 17, after the close of business day. This will be followed by a conference call to discuss the financial numbers. Oracle Corporation is a leading business software company.
Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (AMEX: GTE), $5.99, +0.30, 5.27%, made gains of over 5% on 3.1 million shares traded. Gran Tierra is an independent international energy company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas properties. The company last announced its conference schedule which we reported on. The numbers coming out of GTE are pretty stable with the stock hitting a low of $5.74 and a high of $5.99.
Ido Security Inc. (OTCBB: IDOI), $0.0042, +0.005, 13.51%, is involved in the design, development and marketing of devices for the homeland security and loss prevention markets which are designed for use in security screening procedures to detect metallic objects concealed on or in footwear, ankles and feet through the use of electro-magnetic fields. IDOI made gains of over 13% with 80 million shares traded. The last company announcement to come out of IDO was in late November when it announced that it has retained Eduardo Bursztyn, former Regional Sales manager for Kodak-leaf in Latin America, to assist in creating its distribution system throughout the Latin American marketplace.
Encana Corporation (TSX: ECA), $29.31, +0.50, 1.74%, hit a high today of $30.00 with a low of $28.75. ECA closed up 1.74% on a volume of 4 million shares. Last company announcement was the completion of transaction to split itself into two energy companies, namely Cenovus Energy Inc., an integrated oil company and EnCana Corporation, a pure play natural gas company. Encana Corporation is a producer of natural gas and holds natural gas and oil resource in North America.
