Diesel Driving Academy, Louisiana’s oldest and largest truck driver training school, will be hosting the area’s largest truck driver Open House this Saturday, March 16th at their newly expanded Baton Rouge, LA campus. More than 100 potential students, graduates, their families, and industry leaders are expected to attend the event.
“Truck driving is one of the largest occupations in Louisiana, and currently employs more than 100,000 men and women as professional truck drivers,” said Jacey Densmore, Vice President of Admissions for Diesel Driving Academy. “The industry is continuing to grow, and to help meet the need for new Class A drivers, we have recently updated and expanded our training center in Baton Rouge”, she added.
The Diesel Driving Academy Open House will be this Saturday, March 16th from 11am to 1pm. The event will be held at the Baton Rouge campus at 8067 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Trucking recruiters from Werner Enterprises, TMC Transportation, and Stevens Transport are expected to attend. The event is open to the public, and no prior driving experience is needed. This is a great opportunity for people to learn more about a career in transportation.
“As a Recruiter who visits schools around the country, I know first-hand how effective the training program is at Diesel Driving Academy.” said Sterling Collins, National Recruiting Manager for Stevens Transport. “Trucking is a tremendous industry, and our first-year drivers can earn up to $70,000 after they complete their CDL training. We are excited to be a part of this weekend’s Open House, and hope to pre-hire several new driver trainees”, he added.
