(“SunCar” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: SDA), a leading provider of digitalized enterprise automotive after-sales services and online auto insurance intermediation service in China, today announced that it has recently entered into an exclusive two-year insurance intermediation and after-sales service agreement with JIDU Auto, an electric vehicle venture between China’s tech giant Baidu and Chinese automaker Geely.
Founded in 2021, JIDU Auto launched its pilot car model ROBO-01 in early 2022, now known as JI YUE 01, which Geely has announced is set to debut in Q4 2023. SunCar’s extensive network of over 42,000 service centers around China is ready to provide comprehensive support for JIDU Auto customers. Initial services will include insurance intermediation service and value-added service options like car washing, while VIP offerings like door-to-door valet service and repair will also be provided in case of customer demand.
