Code42 Secures Prestigious Workplace and Leadership Awards

Recognized by Inc. and the Minneapolis Star Tribune as a top workplace

Code42 Software, Inc., the Insider Risk Management (IRM) leader, today announced it has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list and, for the sixth year in a row, the Star Tribune’s Top 200 Workplaces in Minnesota list.

“Our team is proud to be awarded these two prestigious industry recognitions,” said Joe Payne, CEO of Code42. “We’re committed to creating an exceptional company culture at Code42 and we live our values in everything we do: putting the customer first, getting it done, doing it right. We strive to foster an environment where our team has opportunities to learn and grow, and have made significant investments in leadership programs to help employees advance their careers. We also introduced a policy of productive days and collaboration days, which balances remote work and in-office collaboration so that our team can be productive, innovative and fulfilled.”

Code42 was nominated to Inc.’s list after taking part in an employee survey, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited.

“Being named to Best Workplaces is an honor that only a small fraction of companies have been able to claim,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor in chief of Inc. “Proving to the world that you’re a magnet for talent and have a culture that keeps teams engaged, productive, and proud to come to work is a truly remarkable achievement.”

At the local level, the Star Tribune’s list recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota, based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction.

Star Tribune CEO and Publisher Steve Grove said, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top 200 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”

About Inc. Magazine’s Annual Best Workplaces

Inc. magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list, featured in the May/June 2023 and on Inc.com, is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or a virtual facility.

After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.

About the Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces in Minnesota

Produced by the same team that compiles the 32-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. The analysis included responses from 124,719 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.

To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Over 5,000 companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
