Cintas Corporation Announces the Winners of its 2022 C.A.P.E. Awards

Ten EVS technicians will each receive $2,500 through Cintas’ third-annual EVS award program

In honor of Environmental Services (EVS) week, which is being recognized September 11-17, Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) is proud to announce the winners of its 2022 C.A.P.E. Awards. These awards were established to recognize professionals “Cleaning to Advance the Patient Experience.”

Ten Environmental Services (EVS) technicians at the frontline of patient care and sanitation were nominated and selected based on the quality of their service and dedication.

Cintas’ 2022 C.A.P.E. Award winners are:

  • Esperanza Beaulieu - Sarasota Memorial Hospital
  • Nelda Duffy - Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
  • Manuel Heredia - Sequoia Hospital
  • Leristine Jean – HCA Florida Westside Hospital
  • Lamont Lanfair - Froedtert Hospital
  • Rosalina Leiva - Children’s Mercy Kansas City
  • Elsa Linares - Southern California Hospital
  • Julie Pitts - MedStar Harbor Hospital
  • Estephania Proano - Beebe Healthcare
  • Mary Schnelle - Mercy Hospital Washington

“We received well over 700 inspiring stories of incredible EVS technicians in the U.S. and Canada, and we’re proud to recognize their contributions to their patient care teams and senior leadership with this special C.A.P.E. Award program,” said Chad Poeppelmeier, Cintas Vice President of Healthcare. “We take great pride in celebrating these winners who’ve worked tirelessly to maintain clean and safe environments for healthcare workers, patients, residents and their families.”

Each winner will receive a $2,500 cash prize and a $2,500 donation on their behalf to their healthcare institution. Winners and their facilities will also receive a Rubbermaid charging bucket with products inside. Cintas, in partnership with The Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE), will provide one scholarship to the designated trainer of their institution (typically an EVS director, manager or supervisor) to attend one of AHE’s signature series Train the Trainer programs, like T-CHEST, T-CSCT, T-CNACC. Additionally, the winning technician will receive a scholarship to be trained and certified in the AHE program (CHEST, CSCT, CNACC) at their facility.
