Valley National Bank (NASDAQ:VLY) has issued its first annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report which highlights the Bank’s cultural and social progress and its focus on the risks and opportunities of climate change. The report covers the work accomplished in 2020 and first half of 2021 and represents Valley’s mission to promote inclusive economic opportunity, growth and positive societal impact. In early 2021, Valley created an ESG Council to bring together the Bank’s various business lines to strengthen its ESG efforts, raise awareness of the impact of climate change and collaborate on opportunities to mitigate its effects.
