MAJOR SHAREHOLDER NOTIFICATION

In accordance with Section 29 of the Securities Trading Act, Novo Nordisk hereby
reports that Capital Group Companies on 3 October 2007 informed Novo Nordisk
that Capital Group Companies now holds 48,647,641 B shares of DKK 2 equal to
15.04% of the total share capital in Novo Nordisk.
