ChipMOS REPORTS MAY 2010 REVENUE

Hsinchu, Taiwan, June 17, 2010 – ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. (“ChipMOS” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: IMOS) today reported its unaudited consolidated revenue for the month of May 2010.

Revenue for the month of May 2010 was NT$1,540.8 million or US$48.2 million, an increase of 11.6% from the month of April 2010 and an increase of 60.3% from the same period in 2009. (All translations from NT dollars to U.S. dollars were made at the exchange rate of NT$32.00 against US$1.00 as of May 28, 2010.)

ChipMOS’ May 2010 consolidated revenues included revenues of ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC. (“ChipMOS Taiwan”), ChipMOS U.S.A., Inc., MODERN MIND TECHNOLOGY LIMITED and its wholly-owned subsidiary ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Shanghai) LTD. (“ChipMOS Shanghai”), and ThaiLin Semiconductor Corp. (“ThaiLin”).

As a result of the continued significant growth in revenues, all of the Company’s revenue contributing subsidiaries, ChipMOS Taiwan, ChipMOS Shanghai, and ThaiLin, achieved profitability in the month of May 2010. ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. was also profitable in May after accruing for the A/R recovery from a Major customer. The Company continues to expect gross margin on a consolidated basis for the second quarter of 2010 to be in the range between -3% to +3%.
