VimpelCom Completed the Acquisition of Remaining 49% of Corbina Telecom

Moscow and New York (June 10, 2008) - Open Joint Stock Company “Vimpel-Communications” (“VimpelCom” or the “Company”) (NYSE: VIP) today announced that it completed the acquisition of 49% of the shares of Closed Joint Stock Company Cortec (“Corbina Telecom”) from Inure Enterprises Ltd. for approximately US$404 million. As a result of this transaction, VimpelCom and its subsidiary together now own 100% of the shares of Corbina Telecom.
