Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On May 27, 2008, Avocent Corporation publicly disseminated a press release announcing that it has taken significant steps to accelerate the development of the Avocent Management Platform (AMP), and as part of the program, Ben Grimes has been named Chief Technical Officer with responsibility for corporate strategy as well to direct Avocent’s integration of research and development and strategic planning activities. The information contained in the press release is incorporated herein by reference and furnished as Exhibit 99.10 hereto.
