Collectible Launches The First-Ever Asset-Based NFT Auction House

Blockchain-powered online exclusive auction house, Collectible, partners with premier auction houses and luxury brands to launch the first of its kind NFT auction house

Collectible is looking to deliver the immense features and benefits of the digital world to as many people as possible across the globe with the launch of a unique asset-based NFT auction house. The move will allow the tokenization of different categories of luxury goods and ultimately create a decentralized presence of these products on the blockchain, with only holders of the Collectible token having access to the auction. In a related development, Collectible has announced that a Rolex watch will be the first-ever tokenized item up for auction on the platform.

Non-fungible tokens, otherwise known as NFT’s, have literally disrupted the world of traditional art., as more businesses and individuals from all walks of life look to leverage its unique features and benefits. Unfortunately, there is a lot of unused potential usage for NFT’s. By bridging the physical world to the digital we can eliminate proof of ownership and authenticity issues, which is where the move by Collectible is particularly laudable.

The decision to create an asset-based NFT auction house is timely, considering the huge loss of luxury brands to counterfeiting, with research from MarkMonitor revealing that 47% of brands lose sales revenue to counterfeit or pirated goods. A report published by Statista, suggests that annual sales losses from counterfeiting in the clothing sector amounted to 26.3 billion euros as of 2020. However, the launch of Collectible offers a unique and exclusive platform that guarantees the authenticity of the item through the digitalisation of authenticity papers certified by their manufacturers onto the blockchain in an NFT.

Collectible will feature different categories of luxury goods, such as jewelry, watches, and bags of famous brands sold as asset-based NFT’s on the Ethereum and Binance blockchain. Furthermore, the platform is partnering with the most premier auction houses and luxury brands to deliver high-end, sought-after items to buyers.

Every item on the platform comes with official authenticity documents to guarantee their heritage connected to their 3d artwork. Users also get a 3D artwork of the physical item included in the NFT. Collectible will undoubtedly create authenticity in a digital world and this will not be the last time we will be hearing from them. To participate in the first-ever NFT - Rolex auction you need tokens that can be obtained through the presale or ICO.  The pre-sale is starting April, the 12th on www.collectible.global/ico
