Donald Malter TLA and Royale Music Team Up on New Music Programme

Donald Malter TLA and Royale Music Team Up on New Music ProgrammeOne of Royale Music’s latest signing, Belfast-based act Kamino Royale In an Industry devastated by the Global Pandemic, Belfast based Record Label, Royale Music Ltd is helping lead the fight back against the carnage amongst musicians at the grass roots sector of the Industry.

“The world has almost been brought to its knees by the Pandemic,” said Steve Morgan, Chairman and MD of Royale Music “and whilst the devastation has been felt across a great many sectors and of course with the (now) nearly one million people dead, the Entertainments Industry and Hospitality Industry have been badly affected arguably more than most.”

“With the slow return to normality, or whatever the new normal is in most Industrial sectors, the Entertainments Industry sadly appears to be one of the last sectors that will return to a full working state,” Steve went on to say.

“As one leading New York based Economic Pundit said, as long as you have death remotely part of the equation, getting people to relax whilst out socialising is going to be a hard sell once the novelty wears off.”

Of course as with most Industries there are hidden side effects that may well last well beyond the return to normal life and nowhere is this more so than with the Music Industry.

“The Industry relies upon an inordinate level of private self funding to get an artist launched” said NYC based Music Industry Analyst, Donald Malter “but after at least six months of having to live off savings and personal resources; that degree of self funding just isn’t there anymore. As such, the knock on after effect may well be a delay in most cases of the next generation of Musicians and Artists getting themselves ready for their next big break.”

It would be a shame if the barrier to entry for some artists lies with an inability to fund themselves initially as opposed to a lack of talent. Access to money (or lack of) should not be the “deciding factor” between whether someone makes it or doesn’t.

Royale Music is a Belfast based Record Label established in mid 2020 in the midst of the Global Pandemic and has launched a series of business initiatives designed to help Grass Roots Music.
