A Local Warner Robins Business Named CEFGA K12 Pipeline Employer of the Year!

The Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA) named Comfort Air Cooling & Heating as their 2020 K12 Pipeline Employer of the Year during the annual Craft Pro Champions Awards.

ATLANTA, GA, August 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Comfort Air Cooling and Heating has raised the industry standard for partnerships in Houston County and demonstrates continued commitment to local students. Company Founder and Director of Operations Bernie Joerger has hired five students from the Houston County Career Academy HVAC program, and has donated his time and money supporting the Academy's SkillsUSA Club while providing leadership as a member of the school's Board of Directors. Mr. Joerger also has joined the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) air conditioning advisory committee as President and has been hands-on in creating a seamless avenue for students to attend CGTC after high school. He led local business and industry leaders in creating three annual Houston County Career Academy HVAC scholarships for students who attend CGTC after high school to further their studies in the trades. Comfort Air, located at 1256 S. Houston Lake Road, is a family owned and operated company specializing in all residential and commercial cooling and heating needs for middle Georgia.

CEFGA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, created in 1993 as the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia. CEFGA partners with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to provide support and services to skilled trade construction programs statewide. The Craft Pro Champions Awards were created out of a partnership between CEFGA and Atlanta CareerRise, who together pursued and won the Job Quality Initiative Grant offered by the National Fund for Workforce Solutions.
