BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Aug. 29, 2018 - PRLog -- On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 celebrity photographer Rowena Husbands will present her first photo exhibit Raw, Reel, & Untouched as a kickoff to fashion week. The event will take place at a private location in New York City from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The photographs on display will feature more than 25 years of her work inspired by her daughter Tralynn Husbands.
The "Raw, Reel, & Untouched" one night exhibit will include a conversation in the raw with Host, Sade Baderinwa of WABC TV and Rowena Husbands. The compilation of candid artwork will showcase photos of a myriad of entertainers including Missy Elliott, Jamie Hector, Alicia Keys, Teyana Taylor, Iris Apfel, Andy Cohen, and Busta Rhymes to name a few. In a world full of photoshop and filters, Rowena's artwork on display will be unfiltered and unretouched by photoshop or any editing tools to preserve the original beauty of each photograph leaving them "Raw, Reel, & Untouched."
A portion of the proceeds from each photograph that is sold will be used to launch Rowena's new nonprofit "We'll Comfort 4 U." "We'll Comfort 4 U" is inspired by the personal experience the adjustment and obstacles she went through when she started caring for her mom and then had to put her mom in a nursing home. Her mission is to assist others by providing an aide to comfort their loved one in nursing homes a few days a week.
