The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT), based in Samara, Costa Rica, is proud to announce that they have launched a continuing education credit (CEU) retreat for massage therapists. The retreat has been approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and it is also open to caregivers. This is the first CEU retreat of its kind to be offered in the world. The first retreat will take place on July 14 to July 21, 2018. It is an adventure retreat that focuses on the ongoing care that family caregivers and bodyworkers give to others. It enables participants to celebrate who they are, taking part in grounding exercises, gaining vital self-care tips, and take part in various transformative quests. Tammy McGee continues: "You will journey into the core of your soul, while also enjoying quiet moments of deep solitude, as well as thrilling Costa Rican escapades into the beauty of this tropical wonderland."
The course offers 25 hours of NCBTMB approved CEU. There are no prerequisites for participation. In fact, the course, which is delivered by licensed massage and bodywork therapist, Vickie Torrey, MBA, MHA, LMBT, is open to all. Even those with no massage experience can participate. Meanwhile, licensed therapists can use the 25 CEU hours when renewing their license.
The course will take place in the beautiful Playa Samara, Costa Rica, where simple accommodation is available on the beach. It offers the perfect relaxing atmosphere needed to support the outcomes of the course and encourage people to focus on themselves and their own care.
