BAE Systems, Inc. Announces Two Key Executive Leadership Appointments

BAE Systems announced today that Tom Arseneault has been appointed executive vice president, Product Sectors, and chief technology officer. Larry Prior, who currently serves as executive vice president, Service Sectors, has also been named chief operating officer for BAE Systems, Inc.

Arseneault most recently served as president of BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems sector, one of the four sectors that comprise BAE Systems, Inc. As executive vice president, Product Sectors, he succeeds Bob Murphy, who departed in May, and will lead the development and implementation of integrated business strategies to support the Product Sectors in maintaining their current market leadership positions and establishing new strongholds. In the newly created role as chief technology officer for BAE Systems, Inc., Arseneault will oversee research and development and the application of technology to meet customers’ ever-changing needs and help generate timely, cost-effective solutions.

Since joining BAE Systems in 2010, Prior has helped grow the company’s cyber and intelligence businesses and improved readiness and sustainment services for defense customers. In his expanded role as the new chief operating officer, he will drive operational productivity, agility, cost efficiency and effectiveness throughout the business, which remains critical to BAE Systems’ future success during a time of shifting priorities in the U.S. and across global defense and security markets.

Arseneault also joins Prior and Hudson as members of the BAE Systems’ Executive Committee.
