Our fearless leader Mr. Mann has over three decades of professional experience as an outstanding Artist, Educator, and Writer. He has found success not just as an artist, having had his works included in exhibits on six continents, including international exhibitions, biennials, and triennials, but also as an educator, lecturing on his own work interests and numerous issues in Contemporary art. As a known leader in the art world, Mr. Mann has participated in hundreds of group exhibits and over twenty one-person exhibitions. Mr. Mann's entire body of work has received praise. 

Frank Mann is best described as an American artist interested in vision and visual perception. Some words that come to mind while describing him include "unique," "exceptional," and "absolute brilliance." Mr. Mann has exhibited widely, including major exhibitions in New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin. He was included in   Personal Structures - Identities, a European Cultural Centre Event of the 58th Venice Biennale, held in the Palazzo Bembo in Venice, Italy. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The National Galerie in Berlin, Buenos Aires’ Museum of Modern Art, and Nice’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Mr. Mann's work may be found in museums, private collections, and publications and journals in Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, France, Japan, and the United States.

Before embarking on his professional career, Mr. Mann received his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences/Biology from High Point University in 1972, where he studied under geneticist Dr. Leo Weeks. He continued his education at George Washington University, this time concentrating on fine arts. In 1978, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Mann graduated from Pratt Institute with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1981. Studying art history at Columbia University and attending the Whitney Graduate Seminars in Contemporary Art at the Whitney Museum of American Art enhanced his education and experience. 

Mann illustrated the book Nerves and authored the screenplay for the film "Gloria de Visus." Mr. Mann has contributed to exhibition catalogs, including museum catalogs, editions of Blast Magazine, and portfolios such as The Notebook of COLAB Arts. His articles have appeared in professional magazines such as NAP Text’s “The Optical Machine". He designed the book "Oculus, A Survey Exhibition" for the Broome Street Gallery in New York, now housed at the Smithsonian Archives of American Art. His essays have appeared in books published by the American Society of Contemporary Artists that reside in the Whitney Museum of American Art's Frances Mulhall Achilles Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Thomas J. Watson Library, and the International Center of Documentation, Casoria Contemporary Art Museum in Naples, Italy.

Mr. Mann's art has been viewed globally over his successful career. He has garnered numerous awards and accolades and he has been published in numerous magazines. Mr. Mann was honored in Las Vegas at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala at the Bellagio Hotel as Artist of the Decade and had a chapter dedicated to him in the “Top 50 Fearless Leaders Publication.  Also, while in Vegas, he was featured on the famous Planet Hollywood Billboard on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.  He was honored at IAOTP's 2021 annual awards, where he was inducted into the exclusive IAOTP Hall of Fame at the Gala at The Plaza Hotel in NYC and he was featured in the Wall Street Journal.  For 2021, he was the recipient of the International Prize Dante Alighieri Award, presented on the 700th anniversary of the poet's death, International Contemporary Art Magazine, Effetto Arte Publishers,  Rome, Italy, the "Il David Di Michelangelo" International Art Award  presented on the 520th anniversary of the creation of "Michelangelo's David", Lecce, Italy, and for 2022 selected for  The International Giotto Prize for the Visual Arts Award, Art Expo Gallery, Cesenatico, Italy, and The International Caravaggio Prize, International Contemporary Art Magazine, Effetto Arte Publishers, Rome, Italy. He graced the front cover of TIP Magazine, was named Artist of the Decade and was featured by IAOTP on the historic Reuters billboard in Times Square. In 2019, he was recognized at the IAOTP's Annual Awards Gala at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, where he won the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award. He was selected as Top Artist of the Year by IAOTP in 2018 and received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who's Who. In 2017, he was awarded the International Prize for Human Rights in tribute to Victor Hugo, as well as the Premier Leonardo Da Vinci International Award, presented by the International Contemporary Art Magazine, and the Warriors of Riace Award, presented by the Academia Italia in Arte nel Mondo Associazione Culturale. In recognition of his significant artistic activities completed in 2016, he received the International Human Rights Award, presented by the Italian Academy of Art of the World. He has received awards for international exhibitions and biennials as well as the Sandro Botticelli prize, presented by the EA Editore Publishers of Rome in 2015.  He received the Mabel Sanger Webb Award, a Ford Foundation Grant, and the Lorenzo II Magnifico Medal. For his work, he has been listed in over 30 editions of Who's Who, and he has earned the Pablo Picasso Award as well as the International Prize Frida Kahlo - Milan. The American Society of Contemporary Artists bestowed upon him the Premiere Certification of Honor in Graphics in 2010, the Roy Moyer Memorial Award in 2012, and the Elaine Alibrandi Award in Painting in 2013. 

In addition to his successful career, Mann serves on several boards and maintains leadership roles in a variety of organizations. He is a member of the Association D'Art International, the Global Art Affairs Foundation, Collaborative Projects, New York, and the i-AM Foundation. Frank is the vice president and art historian of the American Society of Contemporary Artists. He has received grants from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts. In addition, he was named Honorary Associate Member of the Associazione Culturale Accademia Italia in Arte nel Mondo and he received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters Degree, presented by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. Mr. Mann served on the Board of Directors and as Vice President of Artists Equity from 1999 to 2016.
