Award for Students Pursuing a Career in Aviation
Stratus Financial, a leading financial services firm specializing in student pilot flight school financing, has announced its first scholarship program for 2024. Their $5000 #FlytoSuccess Scholarship is designed for students interested in pursuing a professional career in aviation.
“There is an unprecedented shortage in active pilots in the United States. In fact, Boeing’s technical outlook indicates that 649,000 pilots will be needed by commercial airlines in the next 20 years,” said Anthony Geraci, CEO and Co-Founder of Stratus Financial. “Our #FlytoSuccess Scholarship helps address this need and award students pursuing a career in aviation.”
The Stratus Financial #FlytoSuccess Scholarship application window opens at 8:00AM Pacific on Monday, January 9, 2024, and closes at 11:59 PM Pacific Friday, June 21, 2024. The winner will be announced on Friday, July 26, 2024, during EAA AirVenture OshKosh.
Eligibility Requirements for the #FlytoSuccess Scholarship Include:
- Student must be a legal resident of the United States.
- Student must be over 17-years-old.
- Student must be currently enrolled in a flight school with 25 credit hours logged.
To apply, students must first fill out an entry form at Stratus.Finance/Scholarship which includes answers to two essay questions. Additionally, student must film a short-form video and post to their social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube using the hashtags #FlytoSuccess and #StratusFinancial about what flying to success means to them and how it aligns with their journey to becoming a pilot.
