Chris Thomas Named Vice President of State Government Affairs in Ohio and New York for Kinetic

Kinetic has named Chris Thomas as the vice president of state government affairs for Ohio and New York. Thomas brings 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to Kinetic. He previously served as both member and president of North Canton City Schools Board of Education, as well as councilman at large in North Canton.

“Chris’ deep experience of advocacy and building relationships with elected officials and community stakeholders makes him invaluable to our work deploying fiber to rural areas as we continue our multi-year $2 billion fiber investment and buildout across our 18-state footprint,” said Susan Schraibman, president of state operations for Kinetic in Ohio and New York. “He knows how to work across multiple groups, both public and private, to make these projects happen. In addition to his professional experience, Thomas has been both president and a board member of the Ohio Cable Telecommunications Association and member of the Broadband Cable Association of Pennsylvania.

Thomas holds a BS and JD from The Ohio State University in addition to an MPPA from Northwestern University. He resides in North Canton with his wife and three sons.
