ITEM 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE

On October 28, 2008, Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that since July 1, 2008, it has completed a total of $148.2 million in asset sales. To date in 2008, it has completed $437 million in asset sales. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
