On March 15, 2013, Mr. David A. Hartman, a current member of the Board of Directors (the "Board") of TOR Minerals International, Inc. ("TOR"), notified TOR and the Board of his decision not to stand for re-election at TOR's 2013 annual meeting of stockholders due to health reasons.  Mr. Hartman, whose term of office is set to expire at this year's annual meeting, joined the Board in 2001.
