São Paulo, February 6, 2013 - GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (BM&FBOVESPA: GOLL4 and NYSE: GOL), (S&P: B, Fitch: B+, Moody’s: B3), the largest low-cost and low-fare airline in Latin America, hereby announces that Smiles S.A. (“Smiles”), a subsidiary of the Company, has entered into a commercial agreement with Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. (“Petrobras”).
The agreement between Smiles and Petrobras is designed to offer more service options via Petrobras Premmia, the Petrobras gas station loyalty program, and will allow clients of the participating Premmia gas stations to exchange points accumulated from tank filling, convenience store purchases and oil changes for Smiles miles, thereby diversifying Premmia’s redemption possibilities.
Petrobras has a nationwide presence through more than 7,500 gas stations, 700 BR Mania stores and 350 Lubrax+ oil change centers. Launched in 2012, the Petrobras Premmia loyalty program has a base of 2.3 million active clients.
With more than 9 million members, Smiles is one of Brazil’s leading coalition programs. A multi-loyalty program involving several companies, including GOL, its major commercial partner and the airline with the highest number of flights between Brazil’s busiest airports. GOL is the largest low-cost and low-fare airline in Latin America and supplies its fleet of aircraft with fuel from Petrobras.
