GOL Corporate Responsibility Report 2006
Sao Paulo, April 27, 2007 GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (NYSE: GOL and Bovespa: GOLL4), Brazils low-cost, low-fare airline, published today 2006 Corporate Responsibility Report. The report is available on GOLs website at www.voegol.com.br/ir. In 2006, GOL invested almost R$ 4 million in corporate responsibility programs across Brazil, including organizations benefiting education, culture, sports, health and sanitation. Additionally, the Company invested in programs or projects related to enviromental conservation.
Some of the organizations GOL supported in 2006 include: Apae, SOS Mata Atlântica, AACD, Instituto Ashoka, Fundação Gol de Letra, Canto Cidadão, Projeto Felicidade, Care Brasil, Eu Quero Ajudar, Expedicionários da Saúde, Pastoral da Criança, Centro Infantil Boldrini, Expedição Vaga Lume, Instituto da Família, Futebol dos Atores and Instituto Criar de TV e Cinema.
Contributions in 2006 included 1,200 air tickets (to both domestic and international destinations), 17,000 kilos of food and 48,000 kits of educational materials. As a result of the Companys sustainability effort, 20,000 kilos of plastic and paper were collected for recycling, 15,000 trees were planted and another 123 were protected from deforestation.
