Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers
                                                                                                                                                                                           
On July 27, 2009, SonoSite, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the appointment of Rodney F. Hochman, MD to its board of directors, which stated that there are nine independent directors on the Company's board of directors. Eight of the directors on the Company's board of directors are currently classified as independent.
