Attached hereto is Registrant’s press release dated May 16, 2006 announcing that Bill Gerety, Chief Executive Officer and President of Spacenet Inc. will complete his three year employment term with the Company soon and that, Spacenet has appointed Mr. Glenn Katz as its Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1st 2006 in his place.

Gilat announces departure of Spacenet Inc.‘s CEO and President and appointment of Acting CEO
Petah Tikva, Israel, May 16, 2006 – Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT) today announced that Bill Gerety, Chief Executive Officer and President of Spacenet Inc. will complete his three year employment term with the Company soon. In his place, Spacenet has appointed Mr. Glenn Katz as its Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1st 2006. Mr. Katz is currently serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Spacenet and has been with Gilat for more than thirteen years. Mr. Gerety will assist the company during the month of June to assure a smooth transition.
