(b)        United Rentals, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today a realignment of its field leadership structure. A copy of the Company’s press release, dated April 1, 2008, with respect to the realignment is being furnished with this report as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. The Company also announced that Kurt Barker has relinquished his position as executive vice president – corporate services, as of the close of business on March 28, 2008. He will continue with the Company for an undetermined period of time as a special projects manager.
